We are a tight-knit team at ParallelScore, with a can-do attitude. We like to think of ourselves as a company that is constantly looking for ways to improve. Take a look at what Marvel Faseun has to say about his time at ParallelScore.
What did you love about working in the company?
I loved working at the company mostly because it had a lot of room for growth. Employees are free to do their own thing and learn new methods. The company is built in a way that allows everyone to work together. It’s like a family, so everyone is having fun and helps each other out along the way. This allowed each person to bring their own creativity into their work.
What are your thoughts on the overall company culture?
When I started working at the company, they had a policy that we were to go into the office twice a week. Subsequently, they changed this policy so that we can work remotely. We are allowed to work from home as long as it’s accompanied by our job duties and expectations. There is a learning curve involved when your job requires you to work from home. It takes some getting used to before you feel right at home in front of your computer all day, although it can be nice to have that extra flexibility to do what you need to do.
What did you learn from your time working in this company?
While working at ParallelScore, I gained some valuable experience. I got the chance to put out my ideas. I learned a lot there. Observing the culture in the company was a completely new experience. The company has its own development team, so it was my chance to collaborate with them and share my ideas.
What insights would you have for other employees considering a career with this company?
If you want to get a job at the company, you’ll have to be open to learning. Working for the company means you’re going to have to learn and evolve as time passes. Nobody will criticize you, and you can bounce back from any setback. Learn to fail quickly and learn from your mistakes. There are honest, helpful people at the company who are ready to help you whenever you need them.
Any final words of advice to future employees of the company?
You should be prepared to take full advantage of the autonomy given to you at work. Take advantage of this autonomy by being proactive about how you approach your work. Working at my company was great because I was able to work on a variety of projects and learn a lot of new things. Expanding on this, I was able to learn new skills and work with different teams on a number of different tasks. I enjoyed that the company was big enough for me to get out of my shell but small enough for me to be able to grow with the company and learn from others. I was able to explore new ideas and make certain decisions. I developed new skill sets and got feedback on how my design decisions affected the outcome of a project.
