We’ve put together a few details to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at ParallelScore. Ex-employee Shalom  Izebhor talked with us about his career at the company and shared some advice with those interested in a position with us. It was a pleasure working with Shalom, and we wish him the best of luck in his new position. We hope this testimonial helps you decide whether or not ParallelScore is the right fit for you. Now let’s dive in.

What did you love about working at the company?

I had a great experience with ParallelScore. The company hired me as a product designer, but it also provided me with opportunities to work in front-end development and videography. Additionally, I gained some knowledge about photography. The most enjoyable aspect of my job was developing my skills and improving my weaknesses. I was challenged to learn new things and be innovative.

What are your thoughts on the overall company culture?

The culture of ParallelScore is unlike anything I’ve seen anywhere else. It has a very warm atmosphere. The employees are friendly, and that was also reflected in the work environment.  In the culture, working hard and having fun are both valued. As a result, I gained new friends or a new type of family. When I joined, I was the youngest, but it didn’t matter. We were able to establish relationships outside of work. During our time together, we lived together and worked together. We had the opportunity to bond at the office as we could spend nights there. We had some incredibly talented developers and designers that helped create truly innovative solutions for some of our client’s biggest problems. This was such an amazing experience, and I still keep in touch with my former co-workers today due to the many memories we shared working on projects together.  It was a pleasure to work with them every day.

What did you learn from your time working in this company?

During my time here, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including designing native and web apps, doing some illustration, photography, and even, videography. I was able to develop my skills as a designer and to work with different technologies (iOS, Android, Web, etc.).

What insights would you have for other people considering a career with this company?

Whenever people are looking for work, I always recommend ParallelScore. There’s a lot of exploration and skill-building to be done here. The firm gives you the freedom to make mistakes and improve. Throughout its history, the company has been progressive in their thinking and work culture. Thus, they have always encouraged their employees to explore new challenges and ideas. The company challenges them to take risks, learn from their mistakes, and grow. It is a great choice for anyone just starting out or looking for a job. It really sets you up for future opportunities at other companies and it’s been a great stepping stone for me. The skills you gain from these experiences can ultimately help you pursue your dreams later on in life.

Any final words of advice to future employees of the company?

I urge employees to take advantage of every learning opportunity they receive even on the job. It is okay to take risks and learn new skills, such as IoT, Machine Learning. It can be a valuable experience. I know people who have gained new skills from the experience. I found it to be a healthy, productive environment. As an employee at the company, I knew every member of the team would make sure we reached the best results by applying 100% of their experience and knowledge. In those cases when I encountered a problem I ran it past the entire team to get multiple perspectives. ParallelScore definitely gave me the confidence to tackle any problem I faced and I felt proud of what I accomplished as a result. It was always a pleasure to work on every project I did. The company was an enjoyable workplace where we had many laughs.

At ParallelScore, we are always looking for talented people to join our team. If you’re interested in working remotely and making an impact right away, check out our open positions here: https://parallelscore.com/careers/
